 House
Snakes Lamprophis fuliginousus originate from Africa,
where they are frequently found near human dwellings.
They
are a small slender snake growing from around 6-10 inches
as a hatchling to around four feet as a mature adult. Males
are smaller than the females. Housesnakes are prolific
breeders laying several clutches of up to 7 eggs through
out it's breeding season.
They are aggressive feeders,
and care should be taken not to over feed them.
Hardy in captivity these snakes
are sometimes described as Africa's answer to the North American Cornsnake.
